The Public is invited to stop by and view the project plans. This will be an open house format meeting: Folks are invited to come and go at any time during the meeting.  There will be no formal presentation, just static displays of the project and its design.  There will be no opportunity provided for public speaking.  County staff and project consultants will be available to answer questions and take comments one-on-one and in small groups.  Comment cards will be provided and accepted at the meeting.  Written comments are welcome at the meeting and within 14 days following the meeting.

March 1, 2011, the St. Johns County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to approve the CR210 Sidewalk Project. Since then, an engineering firm has been selected and is actively preparing the design plans needed to bid sidewalk construction. The process has many time consuming steps: advertising, permitting, bid/selection, etc. Yet, it is anticipated that the sidewalks will be completed in the estimated 18 month time frame from start to finish. We will provide updates as they become available. Thanks again to everyone for their support.

The community of Ponte Vedra/Palm Valley has grown considerably in the past 10 years. A new intracoastal bridge, new high school, housing developments, and a small shopping center located at the hub of Mickler and Palm Valley Road, has us all moving around, connecting with our neighbors and patronizing local small businesses. With this new growth, pedestrian sidewalks are urgently needed so that people can commute safely.  To this end, a sidewalk installation connecting to existing sidewalks is highly desired and urgently needed by the residents of these active communities. Join us in urging our county commissioners to proceed with this project.
